Sarah Busman received her Bachelor of Music from Middle Tennessee State University and Master of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She plays the piano in her classes, but the flute is her main instrument as she has been playing for 13 years and performed with many different ensembles, including wind ensembles, orchestras, choirs, and pit orchestras. Her most recent performances were with a woodwind trio, “Fourth Corner.” Sarah has received numerous honors, including the Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Orchestral Scholarship, the Grace Clagett Ramney Prize in Chamber Music, and finalist in the National Flute Association Young Artist Competition. Sarah has been a preschool classroom teacher of 3-4 year olds, taught flute lessons to elementary through high school students, and was the Applied Flute teacher and Instrumental Repertoire teacher at the Community College of Baltimore County. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, drawing, and cooking. Ms. Sarah’s enthusiasm for music and young children shines through during her classes, and we are excited to have her with us!
